About Us

About US

Transforming lives for kingdom destiny!

We are an elder-led independent local church that networks with other churches and ministry organizations across denominational boundaries to further the kingdom of God. The primary network of churches we relate to is called mPact Churches which exists to mentor, plant, assess, coach, and train churches for kingdom impact.

Who we are

Our Mission

We exist to demonstrate the good news of the Kingdom of God to non-believers; to worship God in Spirit and in truth; to bond believers; to train and to equip them for service; and to mobilize them into their spheres of influence.

Our Beliefs

We believe

– In the 66 books of the Bible as the inspired and infallible Word of God (2 Tim. 3:15)

– In one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Deut. 6:14; Matt. 28:19; Mk 12:29)

– In the virgin birth of Christ, His vicarious atoning death, bodily resurrection, and ascension (Is. 7:14; Rom. 8:34; Acts 1:10)

– In salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ  (1 John 5:10; Rom. 10:13-15)

– In baptism by immersion (Matt. 28:19)

– In divine healing through the redemptive work of Christ on the cross (Is. 53:4; Matt. 8:16-17; Jam 5:13-14)

– In the baptism with the Holy Spirit with the initial evidence of speaking with other tongues (Acts 2:4; 10:44-46; 15:8-9; 19:1-7)

– In the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit which enables a believer to live a holy life (Heb. 12:14; 1 Pet. 1:15-16)

– In the second coming of Jesus Christ (Acts 24:15; Luke 14:14; Rev. 19:7-9)

Background

Our History

We held our first worship service at Bwaila Secondary School in Lilongwe, Malawi on 9th January 2005. Pastor Felix Chimera Nyika is our founding pastor who felt the call of God to plant a non-denominational church in the Crossroads area of Lilongwe. After requesting to be released from ministry at Lilongwe Pentecostal Church as the Young Adults Pastor, the elders and deacons prayed for him and his wife Towela on 26th December 2004, releasing them to plant Kairos.

The church met at Bwaila from 2005 until 2012 when we moved to Akulenje Arcade in the Old Town.

With God’s grace, we acquired a plot of land in Area 43, where we’re now trusting on God’s provision towards constructing our church facilities. We had our first Sunday service at our home on 9 April 2023, marking the start of many Sundays ahead…
